Dear wife
I drop you a few lines to let you know that I am well but the food that we have is enough to make
many of us sick. Flour with out any thing but cold water. Beef & not salt enough to salt it. I hope
that you have plenty and all in good health. The most of the boys are well & in good spirits. I want
you to have your letters at Hendersons Bourlands whehn Squire Ramny comes about so he can get them.
Have your letters there by Wednesday weeak if not soooner. You will here when he comes around.
Tell me all the knews . . . [something about harvesting wheat] . . . & how the people are in regard
to health. I will close as I haft to go on gard in a few minutes.
Yours truly until death
William Kizer"
